Stem Cell Research

I believe that stem cell research is bad. The ability to change a human before they are born will cause vast problems within the world. It would cause a generation of "Superhumans." It would also cause less jobs. By ridding the world of diseases there would be no need for medicine. Thus putting the doctors, pharmacists, and drug stores out of work and business. The"Superhumans" could separate themselves from the regular humans causing segregation and many more problems. Also what if the stem cell process was to go wrong? What would happen to that person? Would they be born deformed? I truly believe that no-one should fool around with nature and they should let nature take its course.

Photosynthesis Rap

The Photosynthesis Rap helped me out a lot. I learned a lot of different things about Photosynthesis. It helped me out a lot because I had to really think about Photosynthesis in order to write the lyrics. In some ways making a rap was also not that helpful because a lot of people focused more on the music than on the Photosynthesis process. I think that making us do a project would have helped us the same because some people would have not done the project at all. Some of the advantages were that some people like me really enjoyed the project and wanted to get a good grade while other students just wanted to make the music sound good instead of learning the Photosynthesis Process. Some suggestions for future projects would be to make students do lyrics first then to make the music.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a holiday to reflect and be thankful for what we have. Many people now just see it as another long weekend. I am thankful for many different things. Personally I am thankful for my family, and my friends. Without any of these people life would be nearly impossible. Also I am especially thankful for my father. He is a great father, an excellent friend, and a person that I would like to be like when I get older. Globally there are many things wrong but I am still thankful for a lot of things. First I am thankful that I live in the United States Of America, because if I lived in any other country I wouldn't enjoy most of the freedoms that we have here. I am also thankful that Barack Obama has been elected as president. It is impossible for him to take care of all the problems the United States faces but I am sure he will make this world safer and easier for most people to live in. I am thankful for many other things but I will keep it short and end here.

Student's Opinions

Many times teachers will not take a students ideas into account. A lot of times the teacher already has their lesson plan set and would not change it for one or two students. Some teachers do take their students ideas into account. In many cases those are the classes where students enjoy the most, and if a student enjoys a class he or she is more likely to pay attention and do their work. Teenagers sometimes have excellent ideas and their opinions should be heard. If I have an idea I would like it to be considered even if is not used. It all depends on how the teacher runs the classroom. If the method is good it shouldn't be messed with.
